Position Overview

We are hiring Field Supervisors to lead electrical crews on industrial project sites across Western and Northern Canada. This role may suit experienced Lead Hands, General Forepersons, or Site Superintendents, depending on experience and project size.

Field Supervisors are responsible for safe execution of work, crew leadership, coordination with site stakeholders, and day‑to‑day progress in alignment with Lakewood’s standards and client expectations.

Field Supervisors May Support Industrial Electrical Scope At

  • Mines and mine infrastructure
  • Natural gas facilities and pipeline sites
  • Pulp mills and forest products facilities
  • Transportation, packaging, and processing facilities
  • Other industrial and resource‑sector projects


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and support electrical crews on industrial job sites
  • Plan daily and weekly work activities to meet project schedules
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site and regulatory requirements
  • Lead safety meetings, FLHAs, and toolbox talks
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, inspectors, and other trades
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to crew members
  • Track labour, materials, and progress reporting
  • Maintain strong site presence and professional representation of Lakewood Electric Ltd


Required Qualifications

  • Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician
  • Previous experience in a lead hand, foreperson, or supervisory role
  • Strong industrial electrical background.
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and industrial safety requirements
  • Proven ability to lead crews, communicate clearly, and manage priorities
  • Safety‑focused, organized, and dependable leadership style


Assets 

  • Mine or heavy industrial supervisory experience
  • Experience working on remote or resource‑sector projects
  • Familiarity with scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting
  • First Aid, Fall Protection, Elevated Work Platform
  • Strong mentorship and crew development skills


Work Locations and Accommodations

  • Industrial project sites across Western & Northern Canada

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is based on role, experience, and scope of responsibility.

Hourly Pay Structure:

  • Base wage range: $48.26/hour (Lead Hand) up to $52.64/hour (Site Superintendent)
  • Vacation pay: 12.36% of base wage, paid hourly
  • RRSP Contribution: $4.75/hour
  • Total Wage Package: $58.97 – $63.90/hour

Position Overview

We are hiring Mine Maintenance Electricians for a steady 14 days on / 14 days off maintenance rotation at an active mine site. This role focuses on ongoing electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in an operating mine environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs in an operating mine
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment issues safely and efficiently
  • Complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks during maintenance shifts
  • Follow all site-specific and Lakewood Electric safety procedures
  • Complete required documentation, FLHAs, and shift reports
  • Coordinate with mine operations, supervisors, and Lakewood project staff
  • Work independently while maintaining strong communication with the site team


Qualifications

  • Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician (required)
  • Previous mine or heavy industrial maintenance experience (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s licence (required)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote / industrial setting
  • Strong commitment to safety and professionalism
  • Mine Supervisor Training (preferred)
  • Ability to meet mine site onboarding and drug & alcohol policy requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply safe work practices and lockout procedures
  • Read and assist with drawings and schematics as skills develop
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem‑solving activities
  • Complete required documentation, FLHAs, and job reports
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Represent Lakewood Electric professionally on site


Qualifications

  • Registered Apprentice Electrician (any year considered)
  • Valid driver’s licence

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
